Certificate of Accreditation for Foreign Patients

Yonemori Hospital, of the Social Medical Care Organization Ryokusenkai Group, acquired accreditation from the Japanese Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients on 21 March 2013. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare developed “The accreditation system for medical institutions accepting international patients” in 2011 as part of a national project to smooth the process of accepting international patients to Japanese medical institutions. In order to facilitate safe and secure medical care for foreign patients, we have acquired and maintained the Japanese Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients. According to municipal statistics, a total number of 2,105 foreigners were registered as residents of Kagoshima City in 2012. If we add the number of foreign tourists in Kagoshima to this figure, the international population would increase significantly. Consequently, we are preparing for an increase in the number of incidents (traffic accidents, work-related accidents, etc.) and sudden illnesses that will require medical attention in the near future. The Social Medical Corporation Ryokusenkai Group and Yonemori Hospital and will continue to provide and improve the high quality of medical services we offer to the international community.
